South Coast Tours Trialed by Noah’s Shoalhaven
South Coast Tour Trial
South Coast Tour Trial was undertaken by carers of children at Noah’s Shoalhaven in 2015 and was a resounding success with 32 participants. We offered the trial tour to carers of children at Noah’s Shoalhaven because we gain a sense of satisfaction when helping to improve our community and it is the right thing to do. As well – the carers in our community deserve a big thank you. Also if locals can be impressed by the South Coast Spectacular Tour then potential customers from further afield will be even more delighted with the clear water, fresh air and wide open spaces that South Coast locals are accustomed to.
The guests of our inaugural tour are all carers of special needs children at Noah’s Shoalhaven. Noah’s has been established in the Shoalhaven for the past 33 years providing care and support for children, young people, their families and carers so that they are included in the community.
Noah’s provide flexible, professional, caring and culturally appropriate services for children and their families where the children have a disability, developmental delay or challenging behaviour. This also extends to early childhood centres through training and resourcing and to Aboriginal communities and organisations where there is an invitation to work in partnership.
Noah’s Shoalhaven is important to our Community because they celebrate the child, not their difference. Noah’s believes it is important to support the important role of parents and carers and that families deserve a high quality service. This is why they employ professionals who are passionate about their role. Noah’s is a not for profit, non-government, community based organisation and although they receive some funding from the government, they still need to fundraise to provide the best possible services to approximately 800 children per year who access their Centre.
