Greenwell Point is a sleepy village just 2 hours from both Sydney and Canberra on the NSW South Coast and is famous for its world class fishing and oysters. Greenwell Point lies just inside Seven Mile and Culburra Beach, on the mouth of the Shoalhaven and Crookhaven Estuaries. Before the railways Greenwell Point was Australia’s 4th largest port and it remains the safest and most popular access point by private or charter boat to many of the South Coast’s best fishing spots.
Greenwell Point is small with a population of about 1,200 and bordered by farmland to the west and water everywhere else. There is a butcher, baker, supermarket, pharmacy, petrol station, post office, gift store, a couple of popular takeaways, a pub and a club.
