Parking
A parking space for
one vehicle is at the southern end of the property as shown in the site map.
If you have a second car or trailer please ask us if there is available parking space on grounds or use the public car park opposite South Coast Retreat.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, utensils, crockery, kettle and toaster. Dishcloths, tea-towels, dryer rack and detergent plus aluminium foil, cooking oil, kitchen paper, insect repellent are located under the sink.
Complimentary start-up supplies of tea, coffee & biscuits are provided.
Sleeping
All bedding including linen, doonas, pillows are provided. Porta-cots are available upon request when booking with our compliments.
Camping bunk or trundle beds are setup for children when required.
Bathroom
Complimentary toiletries, hand towel, bath mat and bath towels are provided.
Extra toilet paper and soaps are located in the vanity under the sink.
Deck
The deck is a lovely place to sit and while away time. Feel free to move the furniture to so it best suits your needs.
The electric BBQ has a non-stick grille and operates like an electric frypan. The controller/cable is located in the bottom drawer in the kitchen.
Temperature Control
The safari tent canvas is made with several layers to promote great insulation all year round. The windows have an external flap that can be unzipped and an internal flap that is positioned using Velcro tabs.
The wall-mounted circulation fan is energy efficient and quiet. The remote control is located on the stem of the unit.
Eco Tip open window flaps and/or door flaps to make the most of the cool breezes
In winter, an electric column heater and extra blankets are provided. Also, the main bed is made with a dual-zone electric-blanket.
Hot Water
The instant gas
hot water system starts automatically when a hot water tap is opened.
If the system fails the electricity may have shorted. See “Electricity” below.
Electricity
Safety/isolation switches are located in a switchboard outside the tent – see
site services map.
For your safety,
if the power fails please unplug all appliances (especially toasters, hairdryers and heaters) and switch off the power points before attempting to switch on any isolation switch in the switchboard.
